Neighbourhood Priorities

There has been a small amount of damage to the equipment and benches in Church Stretton Town Park, along with some anti-social behaviour.  This behaviour has included the alleged smoking of cannabis and the use of offensive language.  This has caused alarm and distress to local residents.

Issue Date Wednesday 17th January 2018

Safer Neighbourhood Team Officers will continue conduct high visibility patrols in the area in an effort to deter anti-social behaviour and to identify anybody involved in such behaviour.

July 2018 - Patrol activity by Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team continues throughout the park.

August 2018 - There was a report of a group of unidentified youths smoking cannabis and using offensive language in the park. 

September 2018 - With the end of the summer holiday the number of youths using the park has obviously declined.  The behaviour of most of those encountered by SNT Officers has been appropriate and caused no issues. 

October 2018 - 4 youths were encountered in the shelter. a small quantity of drugs were seized along with drugs paraphernalia and some alcohol. ASB letters to be issued.

November 2018 - There have been no reports of any anti-social behaviour incidents in the area, Officers continue to conduct patrols in areas where there have ben previous reports of anti-social behaviour to deter / identify those involved in such behaviour.

December 2018 - Safer Neighbourhood Team Officers have continued to patrol the area and there have been no further reports of anti-social behaviour in the park.

January 2019 - There have been no reports of anti-social behaviour in the Church Stretton Park.  Officers will continue to conduct patrols in the area.

February 2019 - There have been no reports of any anti-social behaviour incidents in the area, Officers continue to conduct patrols in areas where there have ben previous reports of anti-social behaviour to deter / identify those involved in such behaviour.

April 2019 - Active patrolling of the areas previously affected by anti-social behaviour have continued and appear to be having a positive effect.

May/June 2019 - Safer Neighbourhood Team Officers have continued to patrol the area, no further reports of ASB. 

July/August - During the school holidays there have been patrols conducted by Officers from the Safer neighbourhood Team, concentrating on areas where there have been previous reports of anti-social behaviour.
