Neighbourhood Priorities

To tackle the issue of retail theft within our town centres and retail parks and to work with partner organisations to reduce the risk of re-offending.

Police patrols have taken place in the Town Centres of Lowestoft, Beccles and Bungay. Additional patrols have been conducted at the Gateway and North Quay retail parks.

Local businesses are visited to understand their concerns.

Positive action has been taken against those that have committed criminal offences.

Preventative orders are being considered to address repeated behaviour.

Evening patrols have taken place in the Lowestoft Town Centre.

Visible Police patrols have been conducted around many areas of Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay and the surrounding villages.

Patrols have been conducted in known ASB hotspot areas.

Patrols have taken place in areas where many visit to enjoy the surrounding area, these have included the beach front areas, parks, play areas, popular tourist areas.

To work with late night venues and partner organisations to tackle the issue of alcohol related disorder leading into the summer months.

Many checks have been made with licensed premises in the lead up to the Euro’s.

Police have and will continue to apply a friendly, professional but robust approach to minimise any disorder.

Police have and will be conducting late night patrols around nighttime economy venues and will tackle issues early.
