Wilnecote has grown from an ancient village built on the main marching route the Romans called Watling Street, into a forward-looking community well served by public amenities.

It has one of Tamworth's two railway stations and easy access to the M42. Wilnecote High School is where students looking for a career in drama or music head, as it is a specialist performing arts college.

Nearby Dosthill makes up the trinity ward south of Tamworth town centre. It has a mix of traditional homes and new properties.

This picturesque district has its own High Street with a wide range of shops and also boasts a diving centre, which attracts learners and expert scuba enthusiasts from all over the Midlands.

The nearby A5 road links the area to the A38, the M42 Junction 10.
