At a Priority setting meeting held on the 27/03/2024 it has been agreed that the Policing priority for Aspley, Bilborough and also Leen Valley wards on the City West will be Theft From Motor Vehicles.
We have seen a steady increase in Theft From Motor Vehicle offences over the last three month period on these three Wards.
We will utilise a combination of tactics and measures including education and prevention, there are surprising number of offences recoded where vehicles are left insecure.
Offender identification and targeting, from experience it will be a small number of Offenders committing the majority of the offences.
We will look at repeat locations and deploy a variety of overt and covert patrols and other tactics to problem solve and detain offenders committing these crimes.
