Our main hotspot streets are Rivercourt Road, Weltje Road and King Street. This is ongoing. The aim of this is to educate visitors to shops, restaurants and other businesses along King Street NOT to leave anything in their cars. The residents are already well aware. We will continue to educate residents with Nextdoor posts and in person. We will continue to foot patrol these streets when on duty.
Specific = Reduce TFMV along the King Street corridor
Measurable = Less reports of on CRIS and www.police.uk
Achievable = High Vis foot patrols with the help of the 2 DWO's from Wendal Park ward looking out for the main victims who are parking up and giving them advice + stopping and chatting to / disrupting main offenders who have previous convictions for this found in the area and those who appear drug addicts stealing to fund their habbit. PCSO has good knowledge of offenders and has produced documents of their photos / details. In the past we have refreshed the signs and asked the local council teams (LET) to patrol these streets at night. I will do this again in this quarter of the year. In the future I might conduct high vis cycle patrols with Wendal Park officers. I might even create a patrol plan using foot, cycle, uniformed and plain clothed officers from other surrounding wards
Relevant = this is the crime that is highest on our ward and it is predominately in these streets
Timely = We will foot patrol here after dealing with commitments
