Robbery (Violence) (Working towards a reduction)
? A review of crime trends over the previous quarter, show a rise in theft phone snatches/Robberies in high footfall areas and transport hubs. The Ward panel has set this priority for Police to work towards a reduction in these types of Offences over the next quarter.

The team will conduct high visibility and reassurance patrols in these areas, and provide crime prevention literature on phone snatches and information on how to report such incidents will also be distributed.

Officers to continue to prioritise robbery patrols whilst conducting high visibility and reassurance in these areas, and provide crime prevention literature on robberies in efforts to help minimise the impact it has on victims and the local community. A review of crime trends over the previous quarter, has identified a sharp and sudden increase in Motor Vehicle related crime including theft of and theft from. The Ward panel has set this priority for Police to work towards a reduction in these types of Offences over the next quarter.

The team will focus patrols in identified crime areas to provide a visible deterrent whilst also offering reassurance to local residents. In addition, the distribution of crime prevention literature will be issued door to door to ensure local residents are informed on best practices on how to prevent crime and keep their property safe.

A review of crime trends over previous summer seasons, have identified an increase in crimes towards Women and Girls, in open spaces such as parkland, Canal Pathways and areas with low/poor lighting. The Ward panel has set this priority for Police to provide and increase in crime advice and work towards a reduction in these types of Offences over the next quarter.
