Neighbourhood Priorities

Ward panel members have asked the team to concentrate intel-led patrols in the areas where we have seen an increase in robberies.
Some areas highlighted were areas around Millfields Road, Daubeney Road and the Canal Towpath.
They have also asked us to engage with people and to issue crime prevention advice around being streetwise/personal safety.
The team will also conduct patrols in areas such as Hackney Marshes, transport hubs and low lit street lighted areas in line with VAWG.

Priorities set at ward panel meeting on 04/05/2024.

Issue Date Sunday 9th June 2024

The Neighbourhood Police Team (CPT) has prioritized addressing and preventing robberies in the community.
Proactive measures, including targeted patrols in areas with historically higher robbery rates, have resulted in a visible reduction in incidents.
Close collaboration with local businesses to improve security measures and timely sharing of intelligence within the team have been instrumental in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in robbery-related activities.
An update on further Police actions and activity will be published on/around 04/07/2024

The ward panel members have asked the policing team to officers to work towards conducting patrols in key areas where burglaries have been occurring.
In addition to patrols we will be looking to issuing crime prevention advice around burglaries to local residents and our community.

Priorities set at ward panel meeting on 04/05/2024.

Issue Date Sunday 9th June 2024

Efforts to curb burglaries have been a central focus for the Neighbourhood Police Team (CPT).
Enhanced community policing, including increased foot and bicycle patrols, has provided a visible presence to deter potential burglars.
The team has also invested in public education campaigns to promote home security awareness, urging residents to adopt measures such as proper lighting, secure locks, and alarm systems.
The team continues to work closely with our partners to educate residents on crime prevention strategies and foster a stronger sense of community resilience.
