Neighbourhood Priorities
Violence focused monitoring in and around Wimbledon Town Centre in relation to after school robberies which have occurred across the borough.
Concerns were raised by the community about a number of reported assaults within the town centre.

In response to this officers will perform a number of targeted patrols over the next three months, specifically but not exclusively on Wimbledon Hill Road and Wimbledon Bridge outside Wimbledon train station where more detailed issues have been highlighted.

Concerns were raised in relation to reports of issues in and around Wimbledon town centre. Area that has been highlighted is a monthly event held at Merton Art space within Wimbledon library. Reports of youths congregating outside the venue causing concerns to local residents due to noise, litter including broken bottles, urinating etc.

Following joint agency meeting and liaising with organisers, both councillors and Merton council. SNT will carry out further patrols in targeted areas engaging with stewards on the door and attendees. Feedback will be discussed following the event.

Concerns were raised after a number of residents were being targeted with scams. This includes being contacted over the phone and receiving suspicious emails.

In response to this Hillside SNT will be organising a Scam awareness event which will be advertised on social media platforms along with sending out to contact list and partner agencies.
