FISH ISLAND

There has been a increase in the amount of robberies in the area of Fish Island. With the population increasing and the added night time economy this part of Bow East is now very active. Bike theft and car related ASB at SKIPPERS YARD has increased.

Increased patrols in the area , bike marking events have been a success with 40 people attending the last session .

There is a continued presence of ASB in regards to children in the area. Primarily in the area where there is a large basketball court youths and adults have been making disruptive noise into the early hours. Reports of weapons being seen and potential drug dealing.

Meetings with Registered Social Landlords to see if area design can be amended further. Talk with nearby school to deter youths gathering in the area after school closure.

There have been a growing number of reports of antisocial behaviour within the carpark of ANNIE BESANT CLOSE . This has been caused by people in vehicles taking Nitrous Oxide and making noise throughout the night, along with people within the basket ball court .

Proactive patrols have made an effect on the frequency of ASB incidents. This will need to continue to deter further gatherings.
