Violence against women. Making women feel safe when out alone. This part of the ward is very busy as it is surrounded by shops, bars and East Croydon train and tram station.

There are concerns regarding drug use and linked issues involving anti social behaviour linked to drug use and drug supply

Officers have increased patrols in specific locations whilst also working closely to improve the quality and quantity of referrals to charities regarding vulnerable persons who suffer from substance misuse.

There are concerns regarding the number of thefts within Addiscombe West and the reasons for theft that occur and the ripple effect this has on the community

There have been an increase in arrests for theft related offences and officers will be completing further events in relation to the recovery of stolen items such as catalytic converter marking events and phone marking events.
SNT officers are also working with stores to improve the quality of reporting of incidents and obtain evidential packages which can support prosecutions for theft offences

SNT officers also will be attending a number of venues to provide crime prevention advice whilst also working with schools to improve awareness regarding crime prevention advice for students
