Anti-social behaviour (ASB): Selling of illegal items and impact on businesses

Issue Date Wednesday 24th January 2024

Lots of ongoing activity: Five shop closures, three further closures being explored.
Extensions being reviewed. We are continuing to develop intelligence, and explore the formalised mapping of issues. Officers have been working with Cambridgeshire Police to target those offenders which might cross borders. Work is being explored around shop frontages. There have been lots of positive responses to ongoing work including on social media. This priority will be continue given positive impact locally, positive public responses and the work that is ongoing still. This will allow continued focus on what is an impactive local issue.

Anti-social behaviour and associated crime in Hall Place, Market place and surrounding area.

Issue Date Thursday 16th November 2023

Officers worked with partner agencies, including South
Holland District Council. There was a reduction in
reports and reduction in fear of crime. Noticeably, over
last few months there has been a reduction in
localised media reports highlighting problems.
Behaviours will continue to be monitored.
