The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB in Mountsorrel

Issue Date Monday 1st April 2024

The Team have been patrolling the ASB hotspots in the village. There have been few reported incidents of ASB for Mountsorrel in April, especially in Halstead Park and around the Village with youths knocking door and running away. The youths have been traced and dealt with them via words of advice. Some ongoing issues of a similar nature will attract more scrutiny and may be managed with the ASB incremental approach.

Throughout the month of May we have been cracking down on Anti-Social behaviour, carrying out regular patrols across our local ASB hotspots including Kinchley Lane, Halstead Park, Church Hill Road and The Homestead. As a team we have resolved multiple ASB issues, issued a community resolution in relation to a public order incident, stemming from anti-social parking. In addition to this we have received several complaints about motorists inconsiderately parking on The Homestead and Crowne Lane. We handed out a good amount of warning letters, as well as putting up signage to motorists, using the new “Public” café. Those who park inconsiderately and cause unsafe obstructions are likely to hear from the police and may risk having their vehicle towed.
