Road Safety & Nuisance Motorbikes - in the Barrow and Sileby area

The Team will consult with the local community to understand the key locations, but we ask that you report specific issues to the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Road Safety Partnership –

What we have done –
Targeted patrols in areas of Sileby and Barrow. 3 Seizures of cars. Resulting in 2 persons being charged and taken before the court for driving while disqualified and no insurance. Effectively 3 uninsured vehicles being taken off the road and making the roads safer for members of the public.
Two speed camera operations and 6 Traffic offence reports issued to drivers.

Drug dealing and Drug use in the Sileby area.

What we are going to do:
Targeted patrols to identify drug dealers & drug users in key locations, disrupt them, and seek to find and close down cannabis grows.

Recently a warrant executed in Sileby this month and subsequently charged a male with cannabis production.

Recently 2 x cannabis grows found and dismantled in barrow and again subsequently 2 x males charged with offences.

ASB - Memorial park and the park area near to Jenham Drive, Sileby

What we are going to do:
Work with partnering agencies to tackle reported Anti Social Behaviour in the villages and local parks. Those identified will be given warnings about their behaviour using an incremental approach. Patrols in the area of Sileby park has stopped ASB in relation to youths gathering on local park and ASB issues that have occurred as a result of the youths gathering.

What we have done - Targeted patrols utilizing beat team and ASB car to tackle local issues.
