The Bardon Hill Neighbourhood beat mainly consists of residential homes in the areas of Ibstock and Whitwick with a number of schools within easy reach ranging from primary to secondary schools.

There is a diverse range of businesses in the area including an industrial estate in Bardon and the quarry at Whitwick.

Anti social behaviour and crime increase, particularly reports on the Greenhill estate.

We continue to experience issues related to Anti Social Behaviour within the Greenhill area.

We remain committed to working with partner agencies to tackle these issues and work towards long term solutions.

Update 21/05/24
We have been working with out partners in Community Safety and have conducted patrols in the area where we have engaged with those causing harm. We have taken positive action with regards to breaches of injunctions and made arrests in relation to serious crime on the beat.

Surveys, community work and crime figures have highlighted a recent increase in reports of theft of, and thefts from motor vehicles within the Bardon Beat.

Both local and force wide operations are in place to increase patrols in the targeted areas. We are also working with partners in Community Safety and Crimestoppers.

We have used our social media and Neighbourhood Link resources to promote vehicle safety as well as working with Loughborough officers to identify and target nominals. This has led to the arrest of three persons linked to vehicle crime. Investigations are on-going.

We have listened to you the public and from surveys completed, beat surgeries and reports to us we have raised the issue of off-road motor bikes and the associated issues with this.

We are actively working with partners to address the issues. We will continue to issue notices to vehicles involved and are working towards longer term resolutions.

We have met with partners from local councils and also with community representatives. Together with local developers we have had barriers placed in Ellistown and work continues to achieve similar results in Hugglescote.
We have a number of action days planned as a beat team and we are also working with partners in Community Safety, Crimestoppers and People Zone to further target the issue across the beat.
