Neighbourhood Priorities

Alcohol and Drug related Anti-Social Behaviour

Summertime is well and truly on the way, this means one thing - event season! Events taking place in around Dartmouth start to build now as the weather gets better and people head to the area. As a result of some of these activities, we see an increase in mainly alcohol related anti-social behaviour. The Dartmouth Neighbourhood Team will be carrying out proactive patrols at these events to prevent incidents happening and to take relevant enforcement actions where they do! We would like to encourage people to drink responsibly and enjoy your days!

Issue Date Wednesday 15th May 2024

Shoplifting

Sadly, we are still seeing shoplifting offences continue across Totnes and the wider South Hams area. Officers are continuing to work with various partners to reduce offending, increase reporting rates and also drive up convictions for those found guilty. We are also working with the Local Authority to obtain Civil Orders against persistent offenders where they come to our attention in the form of Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices.
