Safeguarding Communities
We work closely with a number of agencies, from housing providers to the Local Council to local businesses to identify any arising issues and try to resolve them before they cross over into criminal behaviour.

We are responding to calls of concern made by members of the public where there is a risk to life or other concerns for welfare. We share any concerns with partner agencies better placed to cope and meet the needs of individuals, families and communities and assist on joint visits where appropriate.

Issued a Dispersal Order under powers included in the PSPO, and one person summonsed to Court for breaching the PSPO
Update: 19 June 2023 - High visibility foot patrols
The team are committed to dealing with street drinkers and have been proactively patrolling areas where people congregate, seizing alcohol where necessary and moving groups on. We have also been identifying shops who supply these people to educate them on their licensing responsibilities.

Combatting Anti-Social Behaviour in our Town Centre.

Following some reports of Youth ASB and also an increase in graffiti officers have been conducting high visibility patrols trying to identify and deal with any issues that may arise or be reported.

Wherever possible we aim to provide visible patrols in the town to discourage anti-social behaviour and prevent crime occurring.
