This Safer Neighbourhood area includes Whittington and Barrow Hill. It is covered by the Chesterfield North Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team and belongs to the Chesterfield Local Policing Unit.
Barrow Hill is a small semi-rural residential area located within Chesterfield Borough Council and situated approximately four miles from Chesterfield Town Centre. Whittington is split into two villages - Old and New. There is a large recreational area separating both Old and New Whittington that includes a skate park and five-aside football pitch. Old Whittington contains several buildings of historical interest.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to patrol this area at peak times during to engage with and deter perpetrators. We will work alongside Enforcement Officers from Chesterfield Borough Council and Local Schools to identify suspects and take positive action whenever possible.
