Neighbourhood Priorities

1. Burglaries remain our highest priority
2. Theft from Motor Vehicles
3. Anti-social Vehicle Use/speeding

Issue Date Tuesday 9th April 2024

1. We are pleased to report that burglaries continue to decline across our local community. The team have been and continue to work hard with the community in hot-spot areas to develop Neighbourhood Watch schemes in our on-going battle against the most invasive of crimes.
2. The arrival of the summer months has seen a rise in tourists to the area as well as opportunistic thieves hoping to benefit from their complacency. Valuables left on show in often insecure vehicles that have been the target recently. The team have incorporated car park checks into their daily patrols and are in the progress of improving the signage to hot-spot areas.
3. We are continuing to structure our patrols on the intelligence gained, focusing in particular areas where `car meets` are becoming a common occurrence alongside more rural locations regarding off-roading vehicles are destroying land.
