This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Somercotes, Swanwick, Ironville, Riddings, Leabrooks and Pye Bridge. It belongs to the Amber Valley Local Policing Unit. 
All of these villages are located within the Amber Valley Borough Council area and are situated between the towns of Alfreton and Ripley. The area also has excellent road links with the A38 and the M1 motorway.

1. High visibility patrols within the location, positive action to be taken against riders located, issue section 59 warnings or seizing the bikes under 165.
2. Regular patrols to be completed at the location, gathering evidence of the persons involved in these car meets. Deal with all offences being committed robustly and work alongside our Community Safety Partners to issues tickets.
3. Regular high visibility patrols within the locations. Plain clothes patrols to be conducted to identify dealers, carry out stop searches where grounds are met. Develop intelligence and carry out drug warrants in the area.
