This Safer Neighbourhood area covers the villages of Pleasley, Glapwell and New Houghton. It belongs to the North East Local Policing Unit.

The area has a mining history, which ended in the 1980s, and is situated in between Chesterfield and Mansfield with close proximity to the M1 motorway.

1. Nuisance vehicles speeding and causing ASB on Rotherham Rd, New Houghton and Newbound Mill Lane, Pleasley.
2. Nuisance vehicles speeding and causing ASB on The Hill, Glapwell and in to Doe-Lea.

1. High Visibility patrols at key times. Mobile speed cameras deployed at relevant times/days.
2. High visibility Patrols and working with other agencies looking to issue S59 warnings/Vehicle PSPO tickets. Working alongside traffic officers and local council to identify offenders and issue fix penalty notices or seize vehicles.
