This Safer Neighbourhood area includes the Hasland and St Leonard's council ward area. It is covered by the Chesterfield South Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team and belongs to the Chesterfield Local Policing Unit.

Hasland and St Leonard's comprises of the following areas: Hasland, Hady, Spital and part of Rother. Hasland is a village location and provides its own parade of shops, mostly owned and run by local residents.

Neighbourhood Priorities

1. Drug related ASB in the Hasland area.
2. Eastwood Park/Seagrave Park youth ASB.

1.The Safer Neighbourhood Team are continuing to develop and act on intelligence provided to us in relation to Drug related issues in a small section of the Hasland area. We will utilise Plain clothed patrol operations to identify dealers, carrying out stop searches wherever proportionate to do so and we will build intelligence which allows us to carry out further drugs warrants in the area.
2. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to pay attention to Hasland Parkland now the nights are lighter as in previous years we have had higher recorded youth ASB in these areas. We will continue to work alongside local schools to identify those responsible for causing ASB and Criminal Damage in these areas and will utilise ASB legislation such as Community Protection Notices when dealing with persistent perpetrators.
