Neighbourhood Priorities

Rural acquisitive crime - Operation lantern: ASB (cold callers, anti-social use of vehicles, neighbourhood disputes and poaching in Ulverston and Furness
Boat & outboard engine theft - Operation Headway

Placed a SID (speed indicator device) in Croftlands at Urswick Road and latterly on Oakwood Drive in order to monitor the speed and anti-social use of vehicles near the carpark at the community centre on Central Drive
We increased patrols in the key locations
Liaised with our neighbourhood coordinator to assess the issues and respond in kind
We have worked with our partners (SLDC and BTP and Cumbria Fire and Rescue as well as housing agencies) to reduce ASB targeting key locations in Ulverston area,
Increase patrols for night time economy at the key locations and times
We Increased PCSO patrols in problem areas in Low Furness working with other agencies in a joint operation to tackle Neighbourhood issues and cold calling in Urswick
We Increased PCSO foot patrol in Piggy Lane to reduce noise and litter left by youths, response officer from Kendal increased their patrol activity in the area
We did a poaching operation in High Furness run by PS HOWARTH a wildlife crime officer
Working with boat owners & lake users to encourage reporting of suspicious incidents and conducting joint patrols on & around Windermere and Coniston.
