The residents of Barrow Central and Hindpool have highlighted Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and drug use/supply as the priorities that would like the Police to address.

Issue Date Thursday 23rd February 2023

Hotspot locations have been identified around MacDonalds, Dalton Road and retail premises on Hollywood Park.
The Neighbourhood Police Team were already aware of the ongoing issues, particularly around ASB, and we already have this highlighted as our Neighbourhood Priority, however to focus and tackle these issues further, we will arrange public meetings to discuss further and gain more understanding of the offences and locations. We will then be conducting visible patrols in hotspot locations and where necessary use our powers to intervene and ensure offending youths are dealt with appropriately. We will also continue to educate local children in their schools over the community issues ASB brings. Regards drug use we will conduct intelligence-led warrants and stop searches to target individuals and premises.
The next quarterly Police, Partners and Communities Together (PACT) survey will be a measure of our success in reducing ASB and drug use as a priority for Barrow Central and Hindpool.

Action Date Friday 10th March 2023
