Neighbourhood Priorities

We support our local shops in the Community with the aim to reduce Shoplifting. The Neighbourhood Policing Team will provide a visible presence but also urge incidents to be reported via 999 or 101 accordingly.

Issue Date Sunday 18th June 2023

We are continuing to receive reports of drug related incidents in and around Cale Park and Cemetery Lane in Wincanton. It has been noted that there are groups of people hanging around the Cemetery late at night and the following morning empty beer bottles found in and around the Cemetery. We are actively increasing our patrols and targeting certain areas of concern. We will engage with the public in order to gather further intelligence and provide reassurance.

Please remember to report ASB related incidents to 101 or 999 respectively.

Issue Date Saturday 23rd April 2022

I am pleased to report that the Anti Social Behaviour incidents in the Recreation Ground have reduced. However, we are continuing to conduct regular patrols in Cale Park and liaise regularly with the Town Council in order to tackle any Anti social behaviour issues.
Please do continue to report any ASB incidents to 101 or 999 respectively.
